THE CZAR'S CONCEPT

After having reconquered Moldova from the Turks in 1813, Czar Alexander invited French winemakers to Moldova as colonists and produce quality wines. Today, history is repeating itself. Foreign oenologists are invited once again to come to Moldova to assist in the renaissance of the traditional Moldavian wines. Join us in these efforts by becoming our partner to position these wines on the international markets.

	In the recent years Moldova has benefited major investments in the wine industry. The state owned wineries changed into private hands. Private initiatives were taken in order to switch from mass production to quality awareness

	Australian company «Southcorp wines» and famous French Winemakers as Jacques Lurton and Hugh Ryman implemented «learning by doing» programs, where technology and know how were exchanged. This process resulted, thanks to their assistance, at last in the fact that now local staff produces the majority of the actual quality wines in different wineries.

During the years “Vino Vitis” gained control over these production sites, and is ready to market these remarkable wines in the different regions of the world.

Located east of Transylvania, the land of Dracula, surrounded by the rivers Nistru and Prut, placed at the gates of Europe to the CIS. That is the threshold of a wine Paradise called Moldova.

Recently these gates have been opened for western wine-makers with sense of adventure and ready to explore what was unknown until a few years ago.

Moldova's Continental climate is kept moderate by the proximity of the Black Sea. The rich calcium soil combined with the perfect climate is the cradle for outstanding wines.

Further Moldova's position on the globe indicates the same latitudes as the cities Reims and Baune, also known for their famous wines.

Under the slogan «World of Wines of the World» we will blow new winds over Moldavian vineyards, which until now only made name in the CIS.

During the coming millennium the «Vino Vitis» selections could reach many dinner tables in Hotels, Restaurants and homes. Let them be the primary companion for all happy occasions.
